Arsenal are reluctant to pay more than €70 million to purchase RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer, according to journalist Buchi Laba.

The Gunners have identified Sesko as their priority striker target, but they are yet to make a formal proposal to sign the Slovenia international.

The striker has a release clause worth €80 million in his contract, and Leipzig reportedly want a higher fee to negotiate a long-term payment plan.

Arsenal, on the other hand, value the striker at around €70m and are reluctant to pay a higher sum to purchase the 22-year-old from the German club.

The Gunners are prepared to play the waiting game and remain optimistic that Leipzig will lower their valuation over the coming weeks.

Leipzig have not qualified for any European competition next term and may have to cut their losses with a big-money transfer this summer.

Sesko has already given the green light for a transfer to Arsenal. He recently dropped a hint by following him on his Instagram account.
