Arsenal and Chelsea target signs new long-term deal
Arsenal and Chelsea target Moises Caicedo has signed a fresh four-year contract with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Ecuador international was on the radar of Arsenal and Chelsea in January and he tried to push for a late exit.
However, Brighton made it clear that he was not for sale and the midfielder has now penned an improved deal.
The Seagulls have extended his contract until the summer of 2027. The club have the option for another 12 months.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi said: "This is a fantastic news for the club, our fans, for me and most importantly for Moises."
"It will make us stronger as we move forward towards our targets on the pitch."
With the renewal, it is unlikely that Arsenal or Chelsea will return for his services during the next transfer window.
Their focus could be on West Ham United's Declan Rice instead. The Hammers are likely to sell him for £80 million.
Rice has made the decision to pursue a bigger challenge this summer.
