Martin Zubimendi cools down Arsenal speculation

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi has cooled down the speculation that he could join Arsenal this summer.
The Spaniard was a top target for the Gunners in the January transfer window, but the midfielder had no plans of leaving Sociedad.
Zubimendi did not want to leave the La Liga outfit midway through the campaign with a Champions League place at stake.
It has been recently reported that the Gunners could return for him in July, but Zubimendi has hinted that he could stay put again.
In a recent interview with AS, the 24-year-old emphasised that he does not need to leave Sociedad if his release clause is triggered.
He added that he is expecting a 'quiet summer' before returning to first-team action. His comments could be a blow for the Gunners.
Arsenal signed Jorginho from Chelsea before the winter transfer deadline but they are still expected to pursue another marquee midfielder.
Brighton's Moises Caicedo and West Ham's Declan Rice are among targets.
