AC Milan planning shock move for Chelsea midfielder

AC Milan are planning a surprise move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.

The England international has been a valuable presence for the Blues this campaign, playing in multiple positions.

He is normally a midfielder by trade but has operated in the right wing-back role regularly due to Reece James' injuries.

It is now reported by 90min that the Blues could contemplate his sale this summer, considering his deal expires in June next year.

The Blues' hierarchy are yet to open talks over a renewal with him and they could be tempted to sell him for the right price.

AC Milan are one of the clubs in the running to sign him but they are not alone with Lazio also monitoring his situation.

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri played a key role in Loftus-Cheek's development at Chelsea and a reunion could be on the cards.

Chelsea valued Loftus-Cheek at £40 million in the past but they could sell him for around £20m in the next transfer window.
