Liverpool very close to agreeing terms with £70m star

Liverpool are very close to agreeing personal terms with Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

The Argentina international has been a revelation for the Seagulls this term, scoring 12 goals and providing 2 assists.

He has a gentleman's agreement to leave the club this summer and reports claim that the Reds are close to signing him.

The Merseyside giants have already spoken with the Seagulls and they are ready to meet the £70m asking price.

It is now revealed that they are in constant talks with the player's camp and are very close to sorting personal terms.

Mac Allister has already given the green light to join the Reds and he is eager to play under manager Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool are not assured of Champions League football next season but Mac Allister has nonetheless given his word.

The news will come as a big blow for the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle United, who have also been tracking him.
