Arsenal suffer fresh injury blow in Brighton defeat
Arsenal picked up a fresh injury blow during their 3-0 Premier League defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
The north London giants suffered a heavy loss against the Seagulls and this has virtually ended their league title hopes.
Aside from the defeat, the Gunners also sustained an injury blow in the game.
Gabriel Martinelli was substituted early after picking up an ankle injury from a heavy Moises Caicedo challenge.
The Brazilian went straight down the tunnel in the first half but he was spotted wearing a protective boot later.
Mikel Arteta did not clarify the extent of the injury but Arsenal will be hoping that he has not suffered anything serious.
Arsenal have had a tremendous top-flight campaign and they are set to finish second in the table, as things stand.
The club will return to Champions League football next season and Arteta will want to add more quality and depth.
The Gunners were impressive in their title run until late March but lost the plot after a long-term injury for William Saliba.
