Man Utd leading race to sign former Liverpool star?

Manchester United could be a potential destination for former Liverpool star Sadio Mane during the summer transfer window.

The Senegal international left the Merseyside giants for Bayern Munich last summer and he was a key player in the early months.

However, he picked up an injury before the World Cup and since his return, he has struggled for form, consistency and game time.

As a result, he is reportedly contemplating over his future and Sky Sport Germany claim that he could prefer a return to England.

The same source cite that United could be a possible choice for him. Mane could play on the left wing with Marcus Rashford up front.

It remains to be seen whether Erik ten Hag has a similar plan in mind.

As things stand, it appears the Dutchman wants to sign a genuine number nine. He has shown a keen interest in Tottenham's Harry Kane.

Kane will enter the final year of his Tottenham contract this summer and he could be available for around £100 million in the coming months.
