Man Utd open contract talks with Pellistri

Manchester United have opened talks with Facundo Pellistri over a new long-term contract, according to The Times.

The Uruguay international has been with the United first-team this season but he has been restricted to cameo roles.

Pellistri is likely to be loaned out during the summer but United are nonetheless keen on prolonging his stay.

Erik ten Hag believes Pellistri has plenty of potential and he is prepared to assess his spell away on loan next term.

The Dutch tactician has also instructed the hierarchy to extend his deal and talks are currently ongoing with his agent.

Apart from Pellistri, United are also in talks with Amad Diallo over a new contract after his temporary spell away.

The attacker has just completed a positive loan spell at Sunderland and Ten Hag is prepared to hand him a first-team spot.

Amad could play as a back-up to Antony on the right wing next term with Pellistri and Anthony Elanga set to be loaned out.
