Manchester United have decided against re-signing Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer this summer.

Weghorst joined the Red Devils on loan from Burnley in January while Sabitzer arrived from Bayern Munich in a similar deal.

Neither of them have made a big impression and United have now opted against pursuing a permanent transfer for the duo.

Sabitzer won't play any part in the FA Cup final this weekend. The Austrian has already been ruled out with a minor knee problem.

Meanwhile, Weghorst is expected to make the matchday squad for the derby against Manchester City but may not make an appearance.

The Dutchman was a consistent starter for United after his arrival but his minutes have reduced after Anthony Martial's return from injury.

Weghorst has been a huge disappointment for United. He has netted just two goals from 30 appearances. Much more was expected from him.

The former Wolfsburg man could play for Burnley next season. The Clarets are back in the Premier League after winning the Championship.
