Chelsea favourites to sign Juventus striker

Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic during the summer transfer window.

The Serbian has struggled during his spell with the Bianconeri. He has just 23 goals and six assists from 62 games for them.

Hence, they are ready to sanction his exit this summer, and Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Chelsea are aiming to land him.

The Blues have already held talks with representatives from the Bianconeri and they have proposed a player-plus-cash deal.

Instead of meeting the €80m price tag, they aim to offer Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Trevoh Chalobah to lower the fee.

Juventus are yet to respond to the transfer offer from the Blues and they have reportedly asked for time to analyse the proposal.

Chelsea are facing a financial crisis at the moment. They need to balance their books by June 30 in order to avoid FFP issues.

Hence, they can't make any big-money signings at the moment. The club are reliant on player sales or swap deals as things stand.
