Liverpool very interested in signing Frenchman

Liverpool are very interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara this summer.

The Merseyside giants are currently on the look out for a new number six after missing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Kamara is the latest player on their radar and Foot Mercato claim that they are very interested and determined to bring him to Anfield.

However, there are no assurances that he could leave before the deadline, considering Villa are competing in the Conference League.

Villa boss Unai Emery is keen to keep the core of the squad together, and he has no desire to consider the departure of Kamara soon.

Kamara was signed by the Midlands outfit on a free transfer agreement last summer following the expiry of his contract at Marseille.

He had a fantastic debut campaign with the club and it is left to be seen whether Liverpool can tempt them to sell with a huge bid.

It may take around £70-80m to test the resolve of the Villans.
