Manchester United are planning to make two more signings before the transfer window closes on September 1.

The Red Devils have already signed Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund for a combined fee of £162 million.

They are planning two more incomings before the deadline and reports claim that a defender and a midfielder could be signed.

Manager Erik ten Hag has been eyeing a new centre-back since the start of the summer, but a deal depends on Harry Maguire's exit.

Meanwhile, the Dutchman is also keen on landing a defensive midfielder, and has his sights on signing Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.

Amrabat has already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, but no approach will be made until Donny van de Beek leaves.

Fiorentina currently want around £26m for the Moroccan star and have no plans of accepting anything less to sanction his departure.

Liverpool are also interested in the highly-talented midfielder, and could attempt to beat United to his services in the next few days.
