Fulham table bid for Lucas Ocampos

Lucas Ocampos news

Lucas Ocampos set for England

Fulham have made a last minute offer to sign Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos, with the Cottagers willing to pay around 15 million euros to lure the Argentinian international. It is understood that Fulham have been in contact with Ocampos' representatives and the player is very keen on the transfer, hoping to agree to a contract before the upcoming transfer deadline.

Ocampos has been a journeyman of sorts throughout his career, starting off at River Plate, moving to Monaco in 2012. Three years followed before Ligue 1 rivals Marseille acquired his services, with Ocampos spending four years at the club. Loan spells at Genoa and AC Milan followed; before Sevilla engaged the player in 2019. Last year Ocampos had a largely unsuccessful spell with Ajax on loan.

The Premier League has not yet been a potential destination for the forward, and Fulham's interest will not be the first time an English club has been linked with the player. Ocampos has been suggested for a Man Utd move in previous campaigns.

Fulham hope to get the deal over the line shortly, beating VfB Stuttgart to the player's signature.
