Folarin Balogun deal to be sealed today

Arsenal will let their USA international striker Folarin Balogun leave for AS Monaco today, as AS Monaco agree to pay the 45 million euro transfer fee requested by the Gunners. Arsenal director of football Edu has been locked in negotiations with the Principality outfit, and is happy to have finally made an arrangement to allow Balogun a return to Ligue 1.
With Reims last season, Balogun caught the eye during a debut campaign in France and numerous teams had been linked with a transfer for the striker. Arsenal appear to have decided that Eddie Nketiah is their preferred backup to Gabriel Jesus, with Nketiah starting very well so far this season leading the line for the Gunners.
Now a move is all agreed to allow Balogun an exit from the Emirates Stadium. It is expected to be announced this afternoon, as Monaco prepare the final paperwork and the striker undergoes a medical with his new club.
It is understood that Monaco have beaten a late offer from both Chelsea and Lyon to seal the deal.
