Nottingham Forest and Wolves consider move for Wilfried Ndidi
Both Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers have submitted offers for Leicester City holding midfielder Wilfried Ndidi, who saw a proposed deal to Bayern Munich fall through earlier in the summer. The Premier League duo will pay around £25 million to sign the Nigerian international defensive midfielder.
On talks of a Bayern transfer, Ndidi's representative told reporters: "We had very good talks with the people at FC Bayern at all levels, mainly with Mr. Jan-Christian Dreesen. In the end, however, the decision was made that Wilfred would not be the holding midfielder at FC Bayern."
That clears the path for Forest and Wolves to snap up Ndidi before the end of the transfer window, with both ready to spend significant money before the deadline draws to a close.
Wolves have allowed Matheus Nunes to depart for Man City in a 50 million euro package, leaving a gap in the club's midfield that they have to fill urgently. It is expected that Forest will have to let players leave on the final day of the window in order to bring in Ndidi.
