Jurrien Timber missing from Arsenal's Champions League squad
Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has been left out of the Champions League squad for the group stages.
The Gunners are back in the elite European club competition after six years and they will start their campaign this month against PSV Eindhoven.
Aside from PSV, they are scheduled to face Sevilla and Lens in the group, and should fancy their chances of making the round of 16 next year.
Arsenal have today confirmed their Champions League squad, and Timber was a noticeable absentee following his serious knee injury last month.
The Dutchman had an impressive pre-season with the Gunners, but unfortunately got injured on his debut against Nottingham Forest.
The versatile star is now on the sidelines for most of the season with a knee ligament damage. He could make his comeback by the middle of March.
Hence, it is unsurprising that he has been left out of the Champions League squad. He could be included if Arsenal qualify for the knock-outs.
