Mauricio Pochettino insists Mykhailo Mudryk needs to learn
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that Mykhailo Mudryk still needs to learn and understand the game better.
The Ukrainian made his first league start of the campaign against Bournemouth at the weekend. He had a lively start, but was substituted after the hour mark.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino said that the winger is improving but still needs to try and link up with his teammates better.
He said: "He is improving. He still needs to learn... He needs to understand the game better, try to be more connected sometimes with the team. We need to give the time and tools for him to improve."
Mudryk has yet to score a Premier League goal for the Blues and this is a huge disappointment, given the huge outlay on him.
The Blues lured him ahead of Arsenal in the January transfer window, but he has yet to make any meaningful contribution.
Mudryk will be hoping to start for the second game running when the Blues host Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
