Man Utd & Man City refused to sign Barcelona star?
Manchester United and Manchester City turned down the opportunity to sign Joao Felix before his loan move to Barcelona.
The Portuguese spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan with Chelsea. He was disappointing for them with four goals from 20 outings.
Felix was keen on rejoining the Blues in the summer, but manager Mauricio Pochettino decided against pursuing his services.
According to Cadena SER, his agent Jorge Mendes went on to speak with United and City, but neither were keen on Felix.
The attacker eventually made the move to Barcelona on loan from Atletico Madrid. He has been a revelation for the Catalans.
The 23-year-old has already registered three goals and two assists for Xavi's side, who are currently top of the Spanish La Liga.
The Blaugrana don't have the option to buy him next summer amid FFP issues, but remain optimistic of a future transfer.
They are hopeful of sorting their financial concerns with La Liga such that they can spend big on Felix in the summer of 2024.
