Man Utd keeping tabs on Barcelona midfield target?
Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi ahead of the New Year.
The Red Devils bolstered their midfield with the signings of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat, but manager Erik ten Hag is eyeing another marquee defensive midfielder.
Zubimendi has been on United's radar for some period of time and Fichajes claim that the Spaniard could be a potential replacement for Casemiro in the near future.
Casemiro has struggled with his form and fitness this term and he was recently substituted at the midway stage of the 2-1 win over Brentford in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian is said to be regretting the decision to join the Red Devils as well and there are claims that he could consider a new challenge next year.
Zubimendi would be a quality successor. He is good when it comes to tackling and winning duels. The Spaniard is also a better distributor than the ex-Madrid man.
Barcelona are also interested in signing the 24-year-old, who currently has a release clause worth €60 million in his Sociedad contract.
