Chelsea have a realistic chance to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney during the 2024 January transfer window.

The Blues signed Nicolas Jackson to strengthen their strikeforce over the summer, but the Senegalese has been very disappointing.

He has been impressive with his work rate in the final third, but has lacked the cutting edge in front of goal. He has been poor with his finishing.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino may want a solid upgrade in the New Year and reports claim that Toney is the most realistic target for the club.

Chelsea are also interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, but the Serie A outfit are unlikely to entertain the prospect of losing him mid-season.

Toney netted 20 goals in the Premier League last term before his ban for betting breaches. He won't be back in action until January 17.

The Bees are braced for transfer bids heading into the New Year and they are set to demand at least £65 million to consider his departure.
