Chelsea & Man Utd want to sign Brighton star?

Chelsea and Manchester United could go head-to-head to sign Brighton & Hove Albion Evan Ferguson at the end of the campaign.

The Republic of Ireland international is one of the best young strikers in European football and he recently signed a new long-term deal.

This has not ended speculation over his future and Football Insider claim that Chelsea and United could return for him in the summer.

United purchased Rasmus Hojlund for big money from Atalanta last summer, but they are eyeing a proper competitor alongside him.

The Blues, on the other hand, are still searching for a quality striker with Nicolas Jackson yet to find the consistency leading the attack for them.

Their main target is Victor Osimhen from Napoli, but they could also look to land Ferguson with the financial backing from their wealthy owners.

Brighton are tough negotiators and they may command a similar fee to Moises Caicedo, who joined the Blues for £115 million last summer.
