Arsenal make transfer decision on David Raya

Arsenal have made the decision to trigger the buy option on David Raya's loan contract at the end of the campaign.
The Spaniard was a surprise signing for the Gunners last summer. He joined the club on a season-long loan from Brentford with a £27 million buy clause.
He was initially on the bench for the north London giants, but quickly took over the gloves from Aaron Ramsdale after the September international break.
Raya has since been an undisputed starter in the Premier League and Champions League games and Arsenal are set to sign him permanently.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the decision has been made to purchase him. Raya has already signed a long-term deal beyond next summer.
The news should be of concern for Ramsdale. The Englishman was dropped by Mikel Arteta despite putting in a string of excellent performances.
He will be back in goal against Brentford this weekend with Raya ineligible to play, but his long-term future at the club seems uncertain.
