Gary Neville reacts after Man Utd - Liverpool draw
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has said that he was surprised after Manchester United managed to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool in the Premier League.
The Red Devils went into the game at Anfield as huge underdogs and it was anticipated that the Merseyside giants would comfortably win by three or more goals.
However, they managed to keep the Reds quiet over 90 minutes. Liverpool did not have any clear-cut chances on goal. Andre Onana was brilliant between the sticks.
Speaking after the game, Neville said that he was surprised by the result and added that Liverpool were below par, he said: "I'm surprised it was a draw. I didn't think Manchester United had a clean sheet in them."
"I didn't think they had a defensive performance like that in them. I think Liverpool were below par. They were so scruffy and clumsy in the final third."
United will be undoubtedly delighted with the result from Merseyside. They were able to end their losing streak and will be aiming for a win against West Ham next.
The Red Devils travel to the London Stadium for the weekend's league fixture. The Hammers won't be an easy opposition either, having just beaten Wolves 3-0 at home.
