Man Utd handed timely boost ahead of Aston Villa clash
Manchester United have been handed a timely boost with Diogo Dalot back in contention to face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
The Red Devils suffered their third defeat in four games at the weekend. They were beaten by West Ham United after goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka started at right-back but he was far from his best. The Englishman was dribbled past on a few occasions and barely made an impact in an attacking sense.
Dalot was suspended for the game after his unfortunate sending off at Liverpool, but he is now available for selection again. He should be reinstated into the starting XI.
Aside from Dalot, we could see Christian Eriksen back in the line-up after a poor showing from Scott McTominay in the central midfield role against the Hammers on Saturday.
McTominay was barely an influence in the final third and he was also easily bypassed in midfield. Eriksen would be a better fit over the Scot in the centre of the park in midweek.
