Anthony Martial not leaving Man Utd in January
Manchester United forward Anthony Martial will not leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window, despite persistent rumours linking the player with a move to Sevilla. Martial has slipped down the pecking order at United, but the player's agent has now said that the Frenchman will fight for a place in the club's starting XI and will be staying put until at least June.
There have been rumours that manager Erik Ten Hag has been unhappy with Martial's efforts in training, but that has been denied by the player's agent.
Martial's agent Philippe Lamboley told reporters: "Anthony will not leave Man United and will stay until his contract ends in June. What is said about him is completely false. He was not excluded from the group and he has no problem with the coach."
It is inevitable that Martial will depart Old Trafford this summer, as the player is heading into the final six months of his current contract at Man Utd.
Sevilla are not the only team to have shown interest, French Ligue 1 side Lyon are also considering a free transfer deal.
