Tottenham favourites to sign £60m star ahead of Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly front-runners to land Brentford striker Ivan Toney ahead of Chelsea this summer.

The north London giants are currently three points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, but they have a game in hand.

The club are in a good position to qualify for the Champions League. Regardless of this, they are expected to spend big.

Toney has been on their radar for some point of time and 90min claim that they are favourites ahead of Chelsea to sign him.

The 28-year-old will enter the final year of his deal with the Bees this summer. He is likely to be sold for around £60m.

Spurs have the funds to afford his signature and look in the front seat with the Blues needing to balance their books first.

Their London rivals have to secure at least £100m from player sales first and this has to be done before the end of June.

This has handed a huge advantage to Spurs.
