Arsenal goalkeeper expected to leave permanently
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is expected to leave the club with the permanent signing of David Raya.
Raya was signed on a season-long loan deal from Brentford last summer and he has since become the first-choice goalkeeper for Arsenal.
Ramsdale has been limited to appearances in the Cup competitions and he has made only a couple of league appearances since mid-September.
It is now reported by Football Insider that Ramsdale will push for a fresh challenge away from the Gunners when the transfer window reopens.
The Englishman is keen to play regular first-team football such that he can remain in contention and push for a starting role with his country.
Arsenal are open to parting ways with the 25-year-old, but they are unlikely to let him go on the cheap. It could take at least £35m to test their resolve.
Chelsea and Newcastle United have been credited with an interest this year, but neither of them have made a formal approach thus far.
