Ligue 1 giants have held talks to sign Arsenal striker
Ligue 1 giants Marseille have held initial talks with Arsenal over the potential transfer of Eddie Nketiah, according to Foot Mercato.
The French outfit recently agreed a deal with Manchester United for Mason Greenwood and he is expected to join them this month.
The club are now aiming to bolster their centre-forward position with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang expected to leave for Saudi Arabia.
Nketiah has been identified as a top target by new manager Roberto De Zerbi and talks are already underway with Arsenal for him.
The 25-year-old has been a fringe player for the Gunners and he was an largely an unused substitute during the season run-in.
Nketiah is expected to travel with the Gunners for the pre-season tour of the United States, but he could be sold on his return to England.
Aside from Nketiah, Reiss Nelson is also expected to head for the exit door. He has already confirmed his desire to leave the club.
