Arsenal handed big injury boost for Wolves opener
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Jurrien Timber will be in the squad to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
The Netherlands international joined the Gunners from Ajax last summer, but he made just one league appearance before suffering a knee injury.
Timber made his comeback in the final day of the campaign and he will be hoping to stay injury free during the course of the new season.
The Dutchman was recently out with a minor foot problem, but Arteta has confirmed that he has recovered in time for the curtain-raiser.
Fabio Vieira was another absentee earlier this month, but he is expected to be assessed in the lead-up. He could have a late fitness test.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney won't be available to face Wolves as they recover from knee and hamstring injuries respectively.
Arsenal will be aiming to start the new campaign on a high with a convincing win over Gary O'Neil's side with home advantage.
