Scott McTominay set for Napoli move

Man Utd midfielder Scott McTominay is set to make a surprise move to Serie A side Napoli, as the Naples giants have had a bid of £30 million accepted by Erik Ten Hag's side. The Scotland international had been told that he is free to leave Old Trafford, despite having a knack of scoring important goals for United.
The 27-year-old Lancaster-born midfielder made his debut for Man Utd in 2017 and came through the ranks as a schoolboy, so leaving the club after 14 years is a major surprise for the player himself. With 52 caps and 9 goals to his name, Napoli are getting an experienced midfielder in this signing. Napoli will also likely wrap up a deal to sign Brighton and Hove Albion's midfielder Billy Gilmour.
West Ham had been linked with a transfer for the United man, but slipped away from the race after failing to match the Manchester United valuation of close to £32 million.
The player will fly to Italy on Monday and undergo a medical; with a transfer likely to be sealed by Tuesday afternoon.
