Alisson reveals Saudi Arabia transfer interest but stays for now

Brazil and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has revealed that he had an offer to move to Saudi Arabia this summer, but has opted to stay at Anfield for the time being. The shotstopper played in today's game against Brentford and revealed before the tie that he had received an offer, believed to be worth double his current salary, to move to the Middle East.
The 32-year-old keeper had revealed that he is happy at the Premier League club and under new manager Arne Slot.
"I want to honour my contract and finish my contract here or make a new one. I am really happy here. My family is happy," said Alisson.
"I never got to the point where I was talking about wages and things like this. It was just interest, but when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting you are a little bit attracted. That is normal."
Liverpool are to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia this summer, expected to be Alisson's eventual successor between the sticks.
