Man Utd agree deal to sign 23yo star, medical on Wednesday
Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte on a permanent deal, according to ESPN Uruguay.
The Red Devils started negotiations for the Uruguay international in early August and they have eventually convinced PSG to sanction his sale.
PSG were initially eyeing a fixed fee of €60m, but they have now accepted €50m up front with the remaining €10m in add-ons.
Ugarte has been permitted to travel to Manchester tonight, and he is expected to undergo his medical at Carrington on Wednesday.
The midfielder has verbally agreed terms over a five-year contract and he could put pen-to-paper on the same by the end of tomorrow.
Ugarte will become United's fifth signing of the transfer window after Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
The club are aiming to make at least one more addition to the squad and they are currently in talks with Chelsea regarding Raheem Sterling.
