James Ward-Prowse agrees Forest loan move
West Ham have allowed James Ward-Prowse to leave the club on loan until the end of the season. The former Southampton midfielder has decided to transfer to Nottingham Forest in search of regular first-team football, after being told that he would not receive regular first-team football with the Irons.
The 29-year-old moved to West Ham from his boyhood club Southampton last year, but despite playing a total of 38 Premier League games, newly appointed West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui has been busy on the transfer market and cannot guarantee first-team action for the Portsmouth-born central midfielder.
The offer of a move to Forest was too good to turn down, and apparently it took just five minutes for Ward-Prowse to agree terms with the club. It is understood that Nottingham Forest can also purchase the player on a permanent deal at the end of this season, in a deal that could be worth up to £15 million. West Ham paid approximately £30 million for Ward-Prowse last summer.
