Crystal Palace win race to sign Arsenal striker
Eddie Nketiah has opted to make the move to Crystal Palace, as the Eagles appear to have agreed a package of around £35 million to sign the striker. Nketiah has decided to leave Arsenal in search of regular first-team football, and the 25-year-old will be given that opportunity at Selhurst Park.
Nketiah played 116 Premier League games for the Gunners since making his debut in 2017, and despite Mikel Arteta being a huge fan of the Lewisham-born player, the club have decided not to stand in Nketiah's way as he seeks regular first-team action.
Eddie will be hoping to add to the one cap he has for England with a move to Crystal Palace, and linking up with a host of other English internationals will likely be an inspiration for the forward.
It is understood that Arsenal had looked to sell Nketiah for around £45 million, but a transfer fee could not be agreed with Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace then entered the race albeit for less. Nketiah will not be registered in time for the Eagles' next game against Chelsea this weekend.
