Chelsea open to Romeo Lavia sale next year?
Chelsea could reportedly open the door to selling Romeo Lavia next year as they are scouting his potential replacement in Serie A.
Lavia joined the Blues from Southampton with a big reputation last year, but he has yet to find his feet amid injuries and competition for places.
The Belgian made just one appearance last term after two long-term injuries and he has played only three games in the current season so far.
Lavia is far from a guaranteed starter at the present point. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are the first-choice picks for manager Enzo Maresca.
Tuttomercatoweb now claim that the Blues had scouts in attendance to watch Hellas Verona midfielder Reda Belahyane in action in Serie A.
The Blues have been impressed by the 20-year-old's displays and he could be seen as a replacement for Lavia, who could be sold pretty soon.
The news will come as a huge surprise for many Chelsea fans, considering Lavia has immense potential in him despite his frequent injuries.
