Arsenal already planning free transfer for Bayern Munich star
Arsenal are already planning to sign Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to Football Insider.
The Gunners were fancied to sign a quality winger to support Bukayo Saka last summer and they eventually landed Raheem Sterling on loan.
Sterling has yet to make a significant contribution for the team and the club have no plans of signing him on a permanent basis next summer.
Instead, they are working on a contract for Sane, whose deal with Bayern expires in June next year. He has no plans of penning a renewal.
The German is frustrated playing second fiddle to new signing Michael Olise. He could negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club as early as January.
At Arsenal, Sane could be handed a rotational role under manager Mikel Arteta. He has the ability to play on either wing or in the number 10 role.
Newcastle United are also admirers of the former Manchester City man, but Arsenal could have an edge over them due to regular European football.
