Juventus agree terms to land Chelsea defender
Juventus have agreed terms with Chelsea for the loan signing of Renato Veiga, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Portuguese joined the Blues from Basel last summer, but he has played sparingly in the Premier League so far.
The Bianconeri have now agreed to sign him on a short-term loan for €5 million. There won't be a buy clause.
Veiga has been promised playing time from the centre-back role.
Borussia Dortmund were also interested in signing him earlier this month, but they wanted to play him as a left-back.
The 21-year-old sees his future as a central defender and he has the opportunity to gain experience at Juventus.
Aside from Veiga, Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka are also expected to leave on loan in the coming days.
Chilwell and Chukwuemeka have been deemed surplus to requirements, but there are no permanent offers on the table.
The latter has been linked with a move to West Ham United.
