Tottenham eyeing loan deal for Chelsea defender?
Tottenham could make a loan proposal for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi in the next 24 hours, according to Caught Offside.
The London giants have had plenty of injuries in the central defensive department this campaign. Manager Ange Postecoglou wants more cover.
AC Milan's Fikayo Tomori has emerged as a top loan target in the last few days, but Spurs have identified Disasi as a potential fall-back option.
Disasi was fancied to join Aston Villa earlier in the transfer window, but the Blues have blocked his potential loan move to the Midlands outfit.
Unai Emery's side are direct competitors to the Blues for Champions League football. Chelsea don't want to strengthen their pursuit with Disasi.
However, he could end up joining Spurs instead. Tottenham are languishing 15th in the table and are not a direct top-four threat to the Blues.
Chelsea could be willing to accept a loan with an option to buy. Spurs could make an approach if they can't get a deal for Tomori over the line.
