West Ham are preparing a bid for AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah, formerly of Arsenal, as the Hammers seek to spend the first chunk of their reported £80 million transfer budget. Musah, 22-years-old, currently plays in Serie A but also had spells at Spanish club Valencia.
Having started his career at 10-years-old playing for Arsenal, the United States international midfielder was allowed to depart for Valencia at the age of just 16 as he sought regular first-team football. Eventually impressing ebough to force his way out of the 'B' team into the first-team squad, Musah made his debut in 2020 in the league. AC Milan recognised the player's enormous potential in 2023, paying $20 million for the then 20-year-old. An impressive 2022 World Cup followed, and now the New York City-born player is ready for a return to England.
West Ham manager Graham Potter is said to be a huge fan of Musah, and is ready to spend the majority of his transfer budget to secure the player's signature. It is understood that AC Milan will not even listen to offers less than 50 million euros.
