Arsenal to formally sign Spanish midfielder next week

Arsenal are expected to sign Real Sociedad Martin Zubimendi officially next week, according to Sky Sports News.

The Gunners have had a good start to the summer transfer window and they have already secured deals for three players.

Zubimendi has agreed to join the club from Sociedad. The Gunners have finalised a package of €65m for his transfer.

Alongside him, the club have secured deals for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.

No official announcements have been made yet. Sky Sports News claim that Zubimendi's transfer will be formally completed next week.

Sociedad have asked to delay the transfer until the next financial year for accounting purposes. Zubimendi will complete his move on July 1 onwards.

Arsenal are expected to continue their spending spree. They are in advanced talks with Valencia to land central defender Cristhian Mosquera.

The Spaniard has agreed personal terms over a six-year deal and the Gunners are confident of sorting out the fee with Los Che.
