Casemiro has decided to stay at Manchester United for the last year of his contract amid his dream of playing for Brazil at next year's World Cup, as per Mirror.

The 32-year-old had a disappointing start to the previous campaign, and he was a regular on the bench under manager Ruben Amorim at the turn of the year.

However, he managed to redeem himself during the final phase of the season. The former Real Madrid man was praised by Amorim for adapting to his playing style.

Casemiro has been tipped to be sold in recent weeks amid interest from Saudi Arabia, but the midfielder has decided to stay for the final year of his United deal.

The Brazilian recently returned to the national team fold under new manager Carlo Ancelotti and he has been handed a lifeline for the World Cup as a result.

Casemiro is determined to represent his country at the major showpiece, and he is therefore keen on playing at the highest level rather than moving to Saudi.
