Liverpool agree personal terms with FA Cup winner

Guehi on his way to Liverpool?

Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi ahead of a potential transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Reds are presently short in the central defensive department following the departure of Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen earlier this summer.

Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez are the only specialist centre-backs in the squad and the latter has been injury prone in his career.

It is now reported that the Reds have agreed terms with Guehi and talks are ongoing with Palace to finalise a suitable package for his potential exit.

The Eagles are looking for at least £35m for the FA Cup winner whose contract expires next summer. The Reds are aiming to sign him for £30m.

Negotiations are ongoing behind the scenes, and Palace could be prepared to sanction the defender's transfer as soon as a replacement is found.

Alongside Guehi, playmaker Eberechi Eze is also anticipated to depart. Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are keen on landing his signature.
