Mikel Arteta reacts after Arsenal beat Man Utd

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sent his reaction following the club's 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Gunners registered a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Red Devils in their season opener. Riccardo Calafiori scored the only goal from a corner following a high-profile error from goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

Speaking after the game, Arteta acknowledged that Bayindir's howler contributed to the club picking up three points on the road, he said: "We reacted to a mistake [from Bayındır] and that gave us an opportunity to win the game."

Arsenal were far from their usual self against the Red Devils, and they were second best in almost every department aside from finding the back of the net in the 13th minute.

The Gunners showed that they can win ugly on an off-day and the onus is now on carrying the momentum for their next league game at home against Leeds United on Saturday.
