Enzo Maresca drops big injury update on Cole Palmer
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has said that Cole Palmer will be assessed ahead of the Premier League clash against Brentford on the road on Saturday evening.
The England international started the opening game of the Premier League campaign, but has since been sidelined with a groin problem.
He took part in yesterday's training session for the first time. Maresca has said that a late decision will be made on his involvement tomorrow.
He told reporters in today's presser: "Cole [Palmer] took part in the session yesterday for the first time, not the entire session."
We have one more session this afternoon and we are going to try with him to see if he's okay, otherwise he will be out tomorrow."
Palmer has had a difficult year with the Blues in the Premier League, and the recent injury has proved another roadblock for him.
The Manchester City graduate will be keen to redeem himself. If he is not fully fit, he could make a cameo appearance against the Bees.
Chelsea are presently two points behind league leaders Liverpool. They can temporarily climb to the top of the table with a victory.
