Confirmed Man Utd line-up vs Sunderland, Casemiro out

Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick has named his starting line-up for the Premier League clash against Sunderland on the road today.

The Red Devils have already qualified for the Champions League with a top-five league finish, and Carrick has decided to rotate his starting XI.

There are five changes from the 3-2 win over Liverpool last weekend.

Senne Lammens continues in goal for the Mancunian giants once more.

In defence, Diogo Dalot and Ayden Heaven make way to the bench. Noussair Mazraoui starts at right-back with Luke Shaw on the opposite end.

Lisandro Martinez partners Harry Maguire in the heart of the backline, having returned after a three-match ban for his red card against Leeds.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte are not fit enough due to minor knocks. Hence, Kobbie Mainoo will start as the no.6. Bruno Fernandes is likely to start as the central midfielder with Mason Mount in the no.10 role.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Sesko is nursing a shin injury and does not make the squad. Joshua Zirkzee has got the nod to lead the line as a result.

Matheus Cunha continues on the left wing, but there is a change on the opposite flank with Amad Diallo starting ahead of Bryan Mbeumo.

Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Sunderland: Lammens; Mazraoui, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Fernandes, Mainoo; Amad, Mount, Cunha; Zirkzee.
