Chelsea could make an ambitious move for Arsenal graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly, with Marc Cucurella on his way to Real Madrid this summer.

The Blues are expected to pursue a new left-back with Cucurella set to join Madrid. There is a verbal agreement in place to sell the Spaniard to Los Blancos for £52 million after the World Cup.

The west London giants have already started their pursuit of a replacement and reports claim that Lewis-Skelly is one of the names on the wishlist of newly appointed Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso.

Lewis-Skelly was behind Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie in the pecking order for the left-back role at Arsenal last season, but he eventually got regular playing time in midfield ahead of Martin Zubimendi.

Despite the late season success, his future continues to remain in the balance with Arsenal open to landing a marquee central midfielder.

This could hamper the Englishman's minutes further which could pave the way for a possible exit. He is reportedly valued at £50 million.
