Arsenal star to start from the bench for England vs Ghana

Bukayo Saka news

Saka won't start for England vs Ghana

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is expected to start from the bench during England's World Cup game against Ghana, according to The Telegraph.

The Gunners ace has been nursing an Achilles injury for the last few months and it was the reason behind his reduced playing time at Arsenal earlier this year.

It is now revealed that Saka is still struggling with the concern, and he was absent from training with England earlier today.

Hence, he is likely to start off the bench against Ghana. He provided an assist as a substitute against Croatia earlier this month.

England boss Thomas Tuchel trusted Noni Madueke to start on the right wing against Croatia and he won a penalty for his side.

Madueke looks poised to retain his spot on the right side of England's attack and could be replaced by Saka in the second half.

Similarly, Anthony Gordon is set to continue starting on the left wing ahead of Marcus Rashford, who is carrying a minor issue too.
