Arsenal's fantastic start to the new season continued with a convincing 3-0 victory over Sevilla at the Emirates Stadium. Their star player Henry may have left, but this Arsenal team continue to impress. Goals from Fabregas, van Persie and Eduardo gave The Gunners three points on Matchday 1 of the Champions League.

The most impressive thing about this Arsenal side is their determination and high morale; each player works for the team and no themselves.

Fabregas got the ball rolling in the 27th minute with his sixth goal of the season, Cesc lashed the ball at Sevilla defender Julien Escude and the ball took a fortuitous change of direction to head past Palop in goal.

Pclose to its 60,000 capacity, the Emirates was in full voice tonight and Kolo Toure nearly sent the crowd into more celebrations as he just headed wide. Adebayor had a couple of close opportunities but missed.

After half time, worryingly for Arsenal, Tomas Rosicky was taken off with an injury and on came Abou Diaby.

On the hour mark, number two came as Flamini was fouled by Daniel Alves just outside the area. Up stepped Fabregas to sweep in the free kick, and Bacary Sagna put a deft touch on the ball to send a loving pass into the path of Robin van Persie who rattled the ball home with his right foot.

Arsenal knew the three points were all but secure, and eased off the attack a little. However, Freddie Kanoute - who was jeered by the fans most of the game - looked very lively throughout; he looks a completely different player now to when he was at Tottenham and West Ham.

In stoppage time, substitute Eduardo - the man bought following the sale of Henry - swept home from close range after a neat exchange between Alexander Hleb and Fabregas.

Arsenal's three points were well deserved. The Gunners look a completely different side this season, and it appears they really do not miss Thierry Henry at all.
