Skrtel out for season?

Liverpool centre back Martin Skrtel has damaged his knee and might be out for the whole season.

Skrtel picked up his injury in the Sundays match when Reds won a 2-3 thriller against Man City. He was given oxygen on the pitch and was carried off to hospital shortly after that.

The results of the scan conducted earlier today showed that the injury has damaged his posterior cruciate ligament.

Liverpool's official website announced that Skrtel will see a specialist tomorrow and it will help to assess the length of his spell on the sidelines.
