Ferguson slates Adebayor
Sir Alex Ferguson has sensationally revealed that Emmanuel Adebayor's agent called Man Utd and Chelsea after the Togo international agreed terms with Man City, suggesting that the player only would make the move to City for one reason - money.
Adebayor became very unpopular at the Emirates over the last season, and a 25 million GBP exit had been on the cards for some time.
âAt the last minute, I know Adebayor or his agent phoned us after he had agreed a deal with City - then he did the same to Chelsea,â Ferguson told the Sunday Mirror.
âYou ask why is he going to Manchester City and it can only be for one reason. He was desperate to get to Chelsea and us.â
